BIG RIG ACCIDENT: 2 Killed, 1 Injured in Freeway 101 Big Rig Accident in Agoura Hills

Agoura Hills – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the big rig accident on the 101 Freeway in Agoura Hills that resulted in two deaths and severely injured another person this morning.

According to the CHP, the accident happened at about 4:40 am when the victims’ car rear-ended a parked big rig truck on the right shoulder of the westbound lane in Ventura, east of Reyes Adobe Road.

Two of the car’s occupants died on the scene while a rear-seat passenger was brought to a nearby hospital due to major injuries.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries from the crash.

One of the fatalities was identified as 23-year-old Josh Dubon of Ventura County.

 

The identity of the other fatality and the injured passenger was withheld by authorities pending notification of their families.

Alcohol is currently being looked at as a possible cause of the crash.
