2 Men Pinned Between two Vehicles near Construction Site

December 8, 2009

San Diego - Construction crews rushed to help two men who were pinned between two vehicles in a downtown construction site.

According to a spokesman from the San Diego Fire Rescue Department, the two men, aged 25 and 35, were eating lunch at the back of a truck in Market Street in East Village when a car backed up and struck the vehicle in front of the truck at about 12:20 pm.

The impact caused a domino effect, pushing the truck into the vehicle behind it and pinning the two men in-between.

Crews at the construction site quickly responded and pushed the two vehicles apart.

The two men were on the ground when the firefighters arrived.

Each sustained moderate to serious injuries and were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
