PREMISES LIABILITY: 2-Year-Old in Critical Condition after Drowning Accident

Moreno Valley – A drowning accident in Moreno Valley has left a 2-year-old boy in critical condition this week. The incident happened at about 1:30 pm last Tuesday at the backyard pool of a residence in the 15700 block of Bluechip Circle.

According to Moreno Valley Police, the child was found by the mother submerged at the pool and it was not clear how long the boy have been in the water by then.

When police officers arrived, a neighbor was trying to revive the boy through CPR.

The child was immediately brought to Riverside County Regional Medical Center where doctors said that he was in grave condition.

Code enforcement officers were called to the scene to inspect the condition of the residence due to the poor state of the fence and the pool.

The residence was described as “uninhabitable.”

The drowning accident is still under investigation.
