TRAIN ACCIDENT: 6 People Injured in Latest SF Muni Train Accident

May 20, 2010

San Francisco – At least six people were injured in the latest train crash involving a San Francisco Municipal light rail vehicle this morning.

According to San Francisco police, the N-Judah light rail vehicle collided with a passenger transport van at 14th Avenue and Judah Street at about 9:10am.

Six people from the van were sent to various hospitals after sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

There were no reports of injuries from the passengers of the N-Judah.

The light rail train crash disrupted the services along the N-Judah line for a while as SFPD investigated the accident, but it had resumed since then.

Initial reports initially indicated that the van collided with a bus but it was clarified by San Francisco police as the N-Judah light rail vehicle.
