BUS ACCIDENT: Anaheim Students Injured in Collision

June 3, 2010

Anaheim, CA - Six children suffered minor injuries Thursday when their school bus collided with another vehicle, officials said.

The bus was carrying 63 fourth- and fifth-grade students from Francis Scott Key Elementary School when the accident occurred about 1 p.m. on Ball Road, the Anaheim Fire Department said.

The six students were taken to two local hospitals with bruises, bumps and some sore necks, department spokeswoman Maria Sabol said.

She said the children were returning to school after a trip to the Orange County Performing Arts Center.

The cause of the accident was being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
