TRIP and FALL ACCIDENT: Anaheim Woman Sues City for Trip and Fall Accident

May 26, 2010

Huntington Beach – An Anaheim woman is asking the city of Huntington Beach to compensate the damages that resulted from her fall accident near the intersection of Knoxville Avenue and Florida Street last December, reports said.

Peggy Carroll, 66, was reportedly walking along the sidewalk to get to her daughter’s parked car when she tripped in the uneven pathway causing her to hit her head against the ground and bruise one side of her face.

Reports indicate that the uneven pathway resulted from the elevation caused by nearby trees’ roots. The sidewalk was fixed by the city shortly after the accident.

Carroll alleged that the city failed to maintain the safe condition of the sidewalk which resulted to the considerable amount of expenses from her past and on-going treatments for the injuries sustained in the accident.

The claim was filed last week but officials are yet to release a statement concerning the incident.
