Authorities Investigate Fatal 6-Vehicle Collision in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach - Authorities are investigating a six-car collision that killed the same person who triggered the accident.

According to police, Martin Espinoza, 55, from Huntington Beach, was driving his 1994 Dodge Intrepid along northbound on Brookhurst Street towards Adams Avenue and was unable to stop in time.

He crashed into the back of a Dodge Caravan that was being driven by Paige Beyer, 38, also from Huntington Beach. A chain of collision followed, causing damage to six vehicles.

Espinoza was announced dead at UCI Medical Center in Orange.

Meanwhile, Beyer received treatment at Hoag Hospital for pain in her legs and arms and was released later on. No one else was harmed in the incident, authorities said.
