TRUCK ACCIDENT: Big Rig Crash Causes Road Closure on 101 Freeway

Los Angeles - At least three lanes of 101 Freeway at Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles was closed down by authorities after a big rig carrying lighters overturned and crashed Tuesday, reports said.

Authorities said the accident occurred at around 3:30 am as the truck was traversing the northbound lane of 101 Freeway. The police are looking into the cause of the accident as they try to determine if it was overloaded or the road was slippery.

The accident resulted in the temporary closure of the freeway. It was reopened at around 6:20 am the same morning after accident.

Fortunately, no one was reportedly injured in the single-vehicle crash.
