CHP Investigating Cause of SUV Rollover in Los Alisos Boulevard

November 27, 2009

Rancho Santa Margarita – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an SUV rollover accident at Los Alisos Boulevard.

The accident occurred on the northbound 241 toll road when a green ford Explorer pulling a long camping trailer flipped over and landed upright in the emergency lane.

The trailer also overturned and blocked the No.2 and No.3 lanes, slowing traffic down.

Several motorists stopped to help the SUV occupants as the emergency crew arrived.

A responding fire engine blocked the No.1 lane, causing more traffic.

A Sig Alert was issued at about 11:51 am and the traffic started clearing up by 12:40 pm.

The Sig Alert was cancelled at 12:51 pm.

No one in the family, who was riding the Ford Explorer, was seriously injured but one young man was sent to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
