PERSONAL INJURY LAW: CHP Reminds Parents and Students to Obey Traffic Rules as School Starts

August 23, 2011

San Diego – California Highway Patrol is reminding kids and parents to take extra care when driving around schools’ premises as students go back to school.

According to California Office of Traffic Safety, dozens of California students are injured in getting to and from school, reports said.

Reports say CHP officials are reminding parents who drop their children off to school to slow down, to avoid texting while driving, and to obey traffic rules.

Authorities are also advising children who walk, ride a bike or skateboard to school, to always travel against the traffic and to wear helmet.
