CAR ACCIDENT: California Ranked Fourth on Most Expensive Auto Repair State Survey

Los Angeles -California has ranked fourth as the most expensive state to charge auto repairs, according to a national survey led by CarMD.com Corporation.

According to the study, California car owners pay 11% higher than the usual charge for auto repairs and labor. The Golden State outbeat 49 other states in charging extra service fees.

The high labor cost in California showed as a primary factor for additional fees. Customers pay 20 % more for labor compared to other states, as stated in the survey results.

Reports said the Arizona topped the survey with 18% additional auto service fees followed by New Mexico with 14 % and Colorado with 12%.

The CardMD.com Corporation collaborated with 80,000 repair shops across United States in 2010 to furnish the data. Florida showed as the least expensive state to charge auto parts and labor fees.
