Fort Drum, New York - Fort Drum base officials are currently investigating the cause of a vehicle rollover accident that resulted in the death of a soldier from the 10th Mountain Division at the Northern New York Army post, an AP report said.

Reports said the victim was with two other soldiers when the Humvee they were riding rolled over at a training range in the camp last Sunday. Officials later identified the fatality as Private Michael Koepfle, 35 years old from San Bernardino, who works as a supply clerk in 543rd Quartermaster Company, 548th Combat Service Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade.

Koepfle joined the army in October last year and received various awards and decorations that include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
