CAR CRASH: Crash of speeding Corvette slays four people in San Fernando Valley

May 6, 2010

Los Angeles - A Corvette hurtled on San Fernando Valley street, dispersing its auto parts within a half-mile road and slaying four people on Thursday.

The speeding 2007 Corvette was traversing Roscoe Boulevard, when it hit a guardrail, slipped, and tossed repetitively, according to police Capt. William Sutton.

The two men and two women died instantly after the single accident at 12:05 a.m. in the North Hills area near the Van Nuys Airport, according to reports.

The female driver lost control on the wheels while navigating through a curve. Her body was trapped inside the car. Some pieces of the victims’ bodies were scattered, police said.

Traffic officers said that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol. There was no indication that the car was chasing other vehicle, Sutton said.

Police officials were still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
