CAR ACCIDENT: DMV Employee Injured in Driving Test Accident

April 29, 2010

Los Angeles - A Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) employee, who was taking a driving test, has crashed the car onto the side of building and sustained injuries on Monday.

Investigations showed that Lucas Holliday was backing out of the driveway, and mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing it to slam onto the DMV building on Painter Avenue.

The crash caused the front bumper to detach, the tire to exhaust, and the air bags to deploy, reports said.

The car was speeding at 10 to 15 mph when the crash happened at 11:00 a.m., reports said.

"It seems like he hits his head on the windshield," witnesses reported.

The DMV worker and test administrator was rushed to a nearby hospital. The type of their injuries remained undisclosed. Police officials are still investigating the cause of accident.
