TRUCK ACCIDENT: Eight Trucks Collided at Newhall Pass, Causes Heavy Traffic

Newhall Pass – Big rig accident involving eight trucks at Newhall Pass injured two people and caused heavy traffic, reports said.

According to authorities, the chain crash left two truckers with minor injuries.

The incident did not cause any major injury to drivers involved but caused heavy traffic at the southbound lane of 5 Freeway near Highway 14, reports said.

California Highway Patrol officials have said that one of the eight trucks involved was an oil tanker; the accident caused the big rig to leak 30 gallons of fuel on the road.

The oil spill prompted 55 firefighters to clean up the accident scene, reports added.
