Elderly man Seriously Injured in West Covina Pedestrian Accident

West Covina – An 89-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a pedestrian accident in West Covina.

According to West Covina police, the man was crossing at a crosswalk in South Avenue and Durness Street when he was hit by a gray car.

The driver stopped and called 911.

The elderly man sustained major head injuries and was immediately brought to USC Medical Center.

The driver claims that he did not see the elderly man when he struck him.

The West Covina police are investigating the cause of the accident.
