MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Elderly Motorcyclist Fails to Negotiate Curve, Injured in Santa Maria Solo-Crash

Santa Maria- A 62-year-old male motorcyclist, from Orcutt, sustained serious injuries following a solo-motorcycle crash along east of Highway 135, said reports.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the man was traveling along Rice Ranch Road when he was unable negotiate a proper left hand curve, causing his Yamaha V-Star to swerve off the road, go over an embankment, and crash into two trees.

The motorcycle was carrying a passenger when the accident occurred, said reports.

A road user who witnessed the incident said the motorcyclist was no longer breathing after the crash occurred.

The witness claimed that she administered chest compressions on the motorcyclist until paramedics arrived at the scene.

Reports said the man was rushed to Marian Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
