MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Five Injured in 101 Freeway Chain Collision

Los Angeles - At least five people were injured after a multi-vehicular crash on west of Ventura 101 Freeway on at around 8 am Monday.

At least two of the motorists suffered serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital, Los Angeles police officers said.

According to reports, three cars and two other vehicles collided at Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Woodland Hills.

The collision occurred during the rush Monday morning as motorists traverse 101 Freeway as an alternative route to snow-piled Highway 15, Interstate 5, and Interstate 58.

Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
