MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Former Guns N' Roses guitarist hounds hit and run driver

June 16, 2010

Los Angeles - Ex Guns N' Roses musician and producer Gilby Clarke has initiated a search for the driver who hit his motorbike and ran away in January 10, 2010.

The guitarist has launched his quest to track down the driver and make him pay for his serious injuries.

According to AOL.com reports, Clarke was on his way home from a show when a vehicle hit his 1965 Harley.

Clarke explained that an alleged truck made a sudden left turn and collided with his motorbike. He suffered fractured legs and was treated at a nearby hospital. He has been undergoing physical therapy for a one year recovery plan.

Clarke had to cancel major shows and projects to give way for his therapy and accident case. He expressed his frustrations over the Los Angeles Police Department's inaction for search and investigation.

LAPD explained that there were neither witnesses nor substantial evidence to pursue the case.

The former Guns N' Roses star commented that he is determined to trace the identity of the driver, who allegedly lacks driver's license and insurance, despite LAPD’s uncooperative efforts.
