CAR COLLISION: Freeway 91 Car crash ends in fatalities and injuries

Anaheim – Two persons were killed when two -cars collided on the westbound lane of Freeway 91 Monday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports said the crash occurred at around 11:30 pm, west of Brookhurst Street. A Nissan Murano was traveling at high speed and crashed into a BMW 325Ci that was disabled due to a previous accident that happened. It was parked facing toward the right shoulder in the car-pool lane.

The driver of the Nissan tried to stop but ended up hitting the right side of the BMW.

The male driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene. The 86-year-old female passenger of the Nissan, meanwhile, was taken to Anaheim Regional Hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The driver and front passenger in the Nissan sustained major injuries and were taken to UCI Medical Center. No arrests were made.
