PRODUCT RECALL: Honda Recall 962,000 Car for Computer System Defects

Tokyo, Japan - Auto manufacturing giant, Honda Motors Corporation has announced the recall of nearly 962,000 cars worldwide for possible defects in its power windows and computer systems, a statement released by the company recently said.

The recall is expected to affect some 936,000 units of the Fit subcompact, CR-V crossover and Fit Aria in North America, Asia, Europe and Africa, the company said.

The company said the defects can be found in the driver’s side power window switch units which could melt and potentially caused fire.

Honda will also recall 26,000 CR-Z compact hybrids globally due to programming problems with the engine control unit, the statement added.
