Investigations in Single-Car Crash involving Elderly On-going

October 18, 2009

Diamond Bar – California Highway Patrol officials are still investigating the cause of the 60 Freeway crash that killed a 70-year old woman and injured a 73-year old elderly man. Both are from Moreno Valley.

The woman died on the scene while the man was transported to a hospital for moderate injuries.

According to a CHP official, they received the report around 3:00 p.m. about a car crash on the freeway’s eastbound lane near Phillips Avenue.

The identities of the victims were not released pending notification of their family, but they were described as a 70-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man.

They are now investigating how the 2003 Toyota Camry, which was being driven by the man, veered off the road and collided with the concrete divider that also caused major damages to the car.
