PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Man Injured after being Struck by CHP Motorcycle Officer

San Francisco – A pedestrian accident in Ingleside involving a California Highway Patrol (CHP) motorcycle officer sent one man to a local hospital for leg injuries this morning.

The pedestrian accident occurred shortly before 6:00am near the intersection of Brotherhood Way and Head Street.

According to the CHP, the motorcycle officer was heading east along Brotherhood Way when a man, who was described to be in his early 20s, suddenly crossed the street against a red light.

The CHP officer was not able to avoid the collision and the man was struck by the motorcycle.

The pedestrian sustained some leg injuries and was brought to the San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

Initial reports indicated that the man may have been drinking before the collision.

The CHP motorcycle officer was not injured in the incident.
