VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Man, injured in suspected DUI accident

Thousand Oaks – A 32-year-old man suffered severe injuries in a suspected drunk driving crash in Thousand Oaks, this morning.

The accident happened on the southbound lane of Highway 23, north of Avenida de Los Arboles, at around 4 a.m., authorities said.

According to Officer Miguel Duarte of the California Highway Patrol’s Moorpark office, the vehicle hit a guard rail, which injured the driver.

The driver was apprehended on suspicion of drunk driving, and was taken to the Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
