The claim arose from the accident that occurred on July 29, 2008 at Interstate 405 involving an internet sales agent from Long Beach and two other drivers. According to the victim, he was traveling southbound in #5 lane when he noticed a vehicle in front of him with a blown tire. On seeing this, the victim said he slowed down but the vehicle behind him failed to stop and tried to swerve to the left to avoid collision.

But due to excessive speed, the vehicle behind him clipped the victim’s left side and pushed the victim’s car to the #4 lane. After that, another vehicle struck the victim’s car from behind, pushing him to the #1 lane where he was hit by another vehicle for the third time.

As a result, the car was in almost total wreck. The impact of the collision was so forceful that it caused severe and total property damage to the victim’s vehicle, rendering it worthless.

Despite wearing a seatbelt, the victim also sustained injuries due to impact during the collision. The victim’s back was twisted and his left rib cage struck the arm rest. His knees also jammed into the dashboard. Immediately after the accident, he said he experienced pain in the lower mid back and left rib. In addition to this, he also had bilateral thigh and left rib bruising.

Because of these injuries, the victim had to undergo several treatments from different doctors. Further, the incident not only inflicted her with injuries but also affected her psychological and mental conditions.
