MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Musician Daniel Lanois to Return on Stage after Bike Crash

Los Angeles -- Artist Daniel Lanois has started his preparations for his July 2011 Canadian tour after a year-long recuperation from motorcycle accident.

The celebrated songwriter-producer has confirmed that he and his band, The Black Dub, will resume their performance in Ottawa on July 3. The group will then proceed to Montreal on July 4 and Toronto on July 5. Lanois assured his fans that his health has improved after months of physical therapy.

Lanois crashed his motorcycle in Los Angeles on June 2010, and suffered multiple bone injuries, including collapsed lung. He has undergone series of physical therapy since the crash.

The Hollywood rock artist was best known for his "The Joshua Tree" album production for U2 in 1987. He has then co-produced albums for several artists such as Neil Young and Bob Dylan. He released a "Black Dub" album for his new band in 2010. He recently performed at Bonnaroo Music Festival with his band on June 12, 2011.
