VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Police Arrests Speeding Driver after Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

Los Gatos- Authorities have arrested a speeding 23-year-old driver who may be responsible for the death of a 23-year-old man in a single-vehicle accident whom the Santa Clara County coroner’s office identified as Aaron Vega from San Jose.

According to police, Vega was sitting at the right front seat of a Mustang that is being driven by a man who was identified as Timothy Priolo. The vehicle reportedly hit two poles and a tree along the intersection of Nino Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard.

Witnesses stated that Priolo was speeding along Main Street while approaching Los Gatos Boulevard prior to the accident. The vehicle may have struck a traffic island, causing it to fly into the air.

Vega was announced dead at the accident area.

Meanwhile, Priolo and two other passengers were brought to a hospital to receive treatment for moderate to severe injuries. The three are expected to live.

Priolo was arrested on the suspicion of driving with a suspended license and vehicular manslaughter, said authorities.
