PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Police Investigates Death of Pedestrian Struck by Metrolink Train

Rancho Cucamonga - Police and railroad officials have begun investigations into the death of an unidentified person who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train at around 4:35 am on Friday, reports said.

Initial reports said the incident occurred west of the Rancho Cucamonga station when Train 301 which was headed west from San Bernardino, struck the person at Hellman Avenue. Police said it was an area where pedestrians usually do not cross.

No one was reported injured among the 190 passengers of the train who were all removed out of the area by buses.

The incident is expected to cause major delays.
