Retailer Charged with Unfair Competition

Los Angeles, California - Signature clothing company Kay Celine charged department store chain Stein Mart Inc. and fashion retailer Sienna Rose Inc. with unfair competition and copyright infringement lawsuit for allegedly infringing its clothing design.

According to the lawsuit filed before a federal court, Stein Mart and Sienna Rose have been reproducing, selling, and distributing garments that feature Kay Celine’s patented design.

The clothing company also seeks compensation to recover the economic injuries caused by the alleged infringement and unfair competition practice.

In a statement, Kay Celine executives said the defendants have knowingly infringed and pirated their clothing design.

Meanwhile, Stein Mart declined to give comments regarding the lawsuit.
