CAR ACCIDENT: Road Worker Dies when Hit by Pickup Truck in Brandon

June 14, 2011

Brandon – A 20-year-old male road worker has died after being hit by a pickup truck on I-75 in Brandon.

The pickup driver Logan Tanner Feagle, 21, was travelling south on I-75, through a construction zone just north of State Road 60 around 4:30 a.m.

Road workers were attaching sign board trailer to a truck when Feagle lost command of his Chevy Z71. A worker identified as Robert Armstrong, from Valrico, was hit by the vehicle while he was outside on the driver’s side of the truck.

He died immediately after sustaining injuries.

Meanwhile, Feagle obtained minor injuries.

Investigators did not disregard the possibility that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Charges against him are still pending.
