Student Injured in a Pedestrian Accident in Torrey Pines High Parking Lot

Carmel Valley – A 15-year-old student is expected to live despite sustaining serious head injury following a pedestrian accident at a parking lot in Torrey Pines High School.

According to San Diego Police, the unidentified student was struck by a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer at about 7:30 am.

The 16-year-old student who was driving the Blazer claims that when he stopped at a stop sign he did not see any person so he started to drive again.

That is when he felt something hit the SUV.

The driver stopped and found the victim lying on the ground.

Authorities responded on the scene and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital.

Police are still investigating the incident.
