SEXUAL HARASSMENT: The Doctors Company to Pay $230,000 to Sexually Harassed Employee

Napa, California – The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that The Doctors Company (TDC) has agreed to pay $230,000 settlement to its former employee due to sexual harassment charge, reports said.

According to EEOC’s press release, TDC, a medical liability insurance company violated the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when its former administrative assistant, Kimber Thompson, was sexually harassed by her direct supervisor.

EEOC officials have said that Thompson’s supervisor made inappropriate comments about her appearance and personal life and sent her text messages and e-mails that are sexually-offensive in nature.
