ESCALATOR ACCIDENT: Toddler's Fingertip Severed in Glendale Galleria Escalator

Los Angeles - A toddler's left index finger was cut after an escalator accident at Glendale Galleria mall on Saturday at 9:53 a.m.

According to reports, the 2-year-old boy was riding on an escalator when his finger got caught at the bottom.

Paramedics transported the toddler to Children's Hospital Los Angeles for medical treatment. Meanwhile, firefighters pulled parts of the escalator until they found the severed left index finger. Firefighters rushed the fingertip to the hospital for possibility of a reattachment, reports said.

Authorities are still investigating the details on the accident.
