TRUCK ACCIDENT: Tow Truck Injures Two People and Damages

San Francisco – Two people sustained minor injuries after a tow truck crashed into at least 10 vehicles this morning in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset neighborhood that also disrupted Muni Railway’s N-Judah line.
According to San Francisco police, the tow truck accident occurred at about 10:32 a.m. after the driver lost control of the tow truck while moving a car in Third Avenue.
Police said that the tow truck was either removing or returning a car when the car slipped off the truck.
As a result, the tow truck went out of control and rolled about half a block, causing major damage to at least ten cars along the way.
The driver of the car that slipped off the tow truck and another person inside one of the struck parked cars sustained minor injuries.
The incident caused heavy traffic and disrupted Muni bus shuttles that were carrying riders through Carl Street, Hillway Avenue, Judah Street and 19th Avenue.
Muni services resumed at 12:43pm after the crash has been cleared.
