CAR ACCIDENT: Two drivers Killed in Saturn-Mustang crash on PCH Malibu

July 16, 2010

Los Angeles - At least two drivers were killed in a head-on collision at Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Malibu on Friday.

A Saturn car was heading on a wrong westbound lane when it crashed onto an oncoming Mustang car at PCH near Point Dume at 1 a.m. The two drivers died minutes after the crash, reports said.

Rescuers airlifted an occupant in the Mustang to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Los Angeles County Sheriff officers extracted the bodies from the crashed vehicles. Lanes near Zuma View Place had been closed for hours.

Police authorities found military items inside the Saturn car. Investigators are still verifying whether the two involved men were officers of Naval Base Ventura County.
