September 30, 2009

Orange County - A US soldier was allegedly killed by a 15-year-old teenager who was driving without a license, yesterday morning.

The driver was driving more than 100 mph his Sedan with Nicholas Clayton, 26, an active member of the US Army in Fort Lewis, Washington.

According to the police, they left the party supposedly to buy alcohol or some more drinks.

Reports said the teenage driver apparently lost control of the wheel. He was found 100 feet from the sedan by the police. While Clayton was thrown off from the vehicle and was found lying near the intersection of Camino del Avion and Niguel Road.

Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, said their investigators were waiting for the results of blood-alcohol test which will determine if he was intoxicated. There were inconsistencies with the statements the police had gathered from the 15-year-old driver during the interview at Mission Hospital—where he was treated.

The case is still under investigation.
