PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Woman gets thrown out of moving car along 110 Freeway

June 1, 2010

South Los Angeles – A woman suffered serious injuries on her face and body after being pushed out from a moving vehicle running on the southbound lane of Harbor 110 Freeway Tuesday morning.

Witnesses claim that the unnamed woman fell over the car around 8:30 a.m. near Manchester Avenue. According to LAPD Media Relations Officer Gregory Baek, the speed of the moving vehicle is still unclear.

She ended up on the center divider of the highway, and some motorists claim that they saw her crawling on the side of the interstate between Florence and Manchester avenues. The victim was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition, but she may have to undergo surgeries because of the injuries.

Authorities have already questioned the victim and found out her name, but she could not remember how she got in the car or who she was with.

The southbound lanes of the Freeway were closed during the investigation.
