SoFi Stadium Has 2nd Construction Worker Die

According to the joint venture who is overseeing the $5-billion project in Inglewood, another construction worker had died on site.

The unidentified worker died on site earlier Tuesday, July 7, after signs of health issues.

This is the second death SoFi Stadium experiences in less than 35 days. On June 5, an ironworker identified as Juan Becerra fell 110 feet off the stadium roof and construction activity was temporarily on hold after his death. The construction site has been ongoing since November 2016 and was scheduled to open in August, approximately 97% of the stadium is completed.
