The City Council has approved spending nearly $1M on a cloud-based monitoring system.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of Orange County cities already provide their officers with body-worn cameras such as Huntington Beach, Buena Park, Santa Ana, and Anaheim.<\/p>\n<p>These cameras are worn on their uniform on their upper body and are used to capture any audio and video footage during traffic stops, arrests, or other public interaction.<\/p>\n<p>Participating Orange County cities have had the body cameras for more than a year and the City of Irvine is now hearing a similar proposal Tuesday, June
