Barajas was 39.<\/p>\n<p>Barajas was working at a construction site when an \u201cequipment collapsed\u201d, according to Los Angeles International Airport officials. Construction was ongoing at the Automated People Mover project when the collapse happened.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the call just before 6am along World Way. LAFD and the coroner\u2019s officed confirmed the worker died on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>LAX officials stopped construction for two days while the incident was under investigation.
