Moreover, 19% of California drivers think that speeding and aggressive driving are the biggest safety problems in the state\u2019s roadways.<\/p>\n<h2>What Is Aggressive Driving?<\/h2>\n<p>An aggressive driver, as defined by the NHTSA, is a motorist who \u201ccommits a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Examples of aggressive driving include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Racing<\/li>\n<li>Weaving recklessly through traffic<\/li>\n<li>Shouting at other motorists<\/li>\n<li>Making obscene gestures while driving<\/li>\n<li>Tailgating<\/li>\n<li>Failing to yield at stop signs or traffic lights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A distinction is made between aggressive driving, which is considered a traffic offense, and road rage, which is considered a criminal offense.
