Sevana Nourian

Employment/Labor Law Attorney
Background

Sevana Nourian is an associate attorney at Mesriani Law Group, where she focuses exclusively on employment and labor law disputes in both pre-litigation and litigation. She has substantial experience managing complex FEHA cases and has successfully resolved hundreds of matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour violations, and other serious workplace misconduct. Ms. Nourian is known for her strategic litigation skills, and relentless commitment to securing justice for her clients.

Since beginning her legal career, Ms. Nourian has earned a reputation not only as a fierce advocate, but also as a steady source of support for individuals navigating some of the most difficult moments of their professional and personal lives. She understands that employment disputes often carry deep personal and emotional weight, and she takes pride in serving as both a legal strategist and a compassionate guide, helping clients through the legal process with confidence, dignity, and strength.

Ms. Nourian’s practice is comprehensive and hands-on. She litigates cases from their earliest stages through discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation. Her work across civil litigation, contract actions, employment discrimination, and labor law violations has strengthened her ability to analyze complex fact patterns, anticipate employer defenses, and build  compelling narratives that illuminate the human story behind each claim.

Throughout her career, Ms. Nourian has consistently secured strong results for her clients, including numerous high-value settlements in challenging and heavily contested matters. Her ability to identify leverage points, develop persuasive evidentiary records, and her disciplined approach has been instrumental in achieving favorable outcomes across a diverse caseload.

Ms. Nourian earned her bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in Armenian studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She later received her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, where she served as both an associate writer and an editor for the school’s international law journal, and founded the school’s first Armenian Law Students Association.

A first-generation American, born to Armenian immigrants from Lebanon, Sevana grew up deeply connected to her cultural heritage and the stories of immigrant communities. Equally drawn to American history and the evolving landscape of civil rights, she developed an early passion for justice rooted in both her Armenian identity and her Americanness—an intersection that continues to inform her work on the pursuit of justice—an interest that ultimately shaped her legal path.
